Chaska

Peaceful Twin Cities suburb on the banks of the Minnesota River

Chaska, Minnesota, is best known for its small-town feel and friendly atmosphere. The town was founded in 1852 and there is a wealth of history here. The name Chaska is derived from a Dakota word meaning firstborn. The city’s mission statement is to be the best small town in Minnesota. Even with that small-town charm, the community is only half an hour outside of Downtown Minneapolis. There are many historic homes here, including in the Italianate and Queen Anne architectural styles, as well as many more modern designed homes.

Nearby there are also pretty, rolling hills, forests, rivers, and creeks, giving it a beautiful surrounding landscape. It’s easy to get out and enjoy the great outdoors living in Chaska.
